We tried the normal things. Group therapy. Long walks. Lying to our mom about how we were doing. Eventually we started making jokes again, because the alternative was sitting in silence forever, and the jokes were the only thing that sounded like the two people we lost.
Dead Dad Club is what came out of that. A small apparel project about grief, siblinghood, and the specific dark humor that lives in families after the worst thing happens. It's for the people who already get it. If you don't get it - congratulations, genuinely. Hopefully you never do.
A note for whoever needs it
We made this brand to make ourselves laugh, but we know not every day is a laughing day. If today isn't one of yours, that's allowed. You can come back to the shirts later. They'll keep.
If you're in real trouble - the kind we lost our brother to - please talk to someone who can actually help. In the US/Canada you can call or text 988. In the UK and ROI you can call Samaritans at 116 123.
We sell apparel. We love you. We are not a crisis line.
